Sensus International to acquire Water Metering Businesses from EYKON

Ludwigshafen, Germany, 22 September 2026- Sensus International today announced plans to acquire water metering assets from EYKON (formerly Landis+Gyr EMEA), expanding its portfolio of water metering solutions and strengthening its ability to serve utilities across international markets.

The planned acquisition follows the successful establishment of Sensus International as an independent company after its acquisition by international private equity firm AURELIUS in May 2026. Since becoming independent, Sensus International has focused on accelerating innovation, expanding its product offering, and supporting utilities with advanced metering solutions that improve efficiency, sustainability, and operational performance.

The acquisition will strengthen Sensus International’s portfolio with complementary technologies, including ultrasonic water meters, enabling the company to serve a broader range of customer applications and market requirements.

Colin Walsby, CEO of Sensus International, said: “This acquisition represents another important step in our growth journey as an independent company. EYKON’s water metering assets complement our existing portfolio and strengthen our ability to offer customers a broader range of trusted and innovative metering solutions. By combining these proven technologies with Sensus International's deep expertise in water meter design and manufacturing, we will be well positioned to accelerate the development of new product variants and deliver even greater value to utilities worldwide.”

As part of the integration process, Sensus International is transferring those assets into its manufacturing facility in Slovakia and plans to reintroduce the product range to the market by end of 2026. Throughout and after this transition, Sensus International will continue to serve EYKON's existing customers, either directly or, in some cases, through EYKON, ensuring continuity of support and service. Customers seeking information about product availability, ongoing support, or future opportunities are encouraged to contact the Sensus International sales team at info@sensus-int.com.
