    Compact thermal energy meter for cooling/heating

    Sensus PolluStat® ultrasonic compact meter measures energy consumption in heating or cooling circuits. Thanks to its high-precision flow sensor, the application range stretches from district heating stations to consumption billing for individual apartments.

    PolluStat thermal energy meter is equipped with a large comprehensive LCD with programmable screens.

    Features

    • With a detachable calculator unit for installation sites with limited space with approx. 0.85 m connection cable
    • Storage of flow rate, power and temperature, as well as the respective maximum values of the last 15 months via radio, additional 15 half-monthly values via the display
    • Modular on-site equipable solution for different communication interfaces offers more flexibility and lower storage costs
    • Standard installation in the “lower temperature pipe” (aka outlet) can be changed to “higher temperature pipe” (aka inlet pipe) installation if necessary on-site, as long as the energy consumption measurement total is below <10kWh
    • Separate 230V or 24V mains power supply module available
    • MID approval in class 2 per EN 1434 for arbitrary installation (also overhead)
    • Temperature range of the flow sensor:
      • Heating meter 15 – 90 °C (Also as variant 15 – 130 °C)
      • Hybrid meter 15 – 90 °C (Also as variant 15 – 120 °C)
      • Cooling meter 5 – 50 °C
    • Optical data interface (M-Bus protocol) as standard
    • Tariff registry: 2 individually customizable registers
    • Freely selectable annual cut-off date

    5. Specifications

    • Optional communications modules: Enable remote electronic meter reading and building automation connections; modules can be factory-fitted or retrofitted at any time.
    • Wireless M-Bus (radio): Walk-by or fixed-network readout (OMS compliant) on 868 MHz, with selectable modes S1/T1/C1 and optional OMS encryption (modes 5/7).
    • M-Bus: Wired 2-wire readout with reverse-polarity protection (EN13757), suitable for building automation or existing M-Bus networks; unlimited readouts (typical updates 120 s, or 2 s with external power).
    • Remote meter pulse: Volt-free pulse output for connecting to external readers or monitoring devices.
    • Wireless M-Bus + 3 external meter inputs: Adds up to three pulse inputs for other meters (e.g., electricity, cold/hot water) using reed contact or open collector; pulse values configurable via optical head/software.
    • M-Bus + 3 external meter inputs: Wired M-Bus module with up to three pulse inputs for external meters (reed contact or open collector); pulse values configurable via optical head/software.
