550W SmartPoint^®

Sensus 550W SmartPoint^® is a meter-agnostic communication device designed to enable flexible meter reading for utility applications. It allows Sensus-qualified third-party water meters with wireless M-Bus short-range radio technologies to operate within the Sensus FlexNet long-range radio network.

The device acts as a bridge between unlicensed, low-power short-range meter radios and licensed FlexNet radio communication, enabling secure data transmission over long distances while minimizing network infrastructure requirements.

The Sensus SmartPoint 550W supports two-way communication and over-the-air firmware updates, allowing efficient installation without recurring site visits. It is designed to deliver consumption, alarm, and event data at defined intervals to support monitoring and operational decision-making.
